Ian Parsons Architect

Ian is experienced in conserving and changing historic buildings, designing contemporary extensions and new buildings.

Always listening carefully to clients, innovating and incorporating sustainable design concepts to produce well-crafted buildings respecting budget and time requirements. In working with larger practices Ian will form part of the project team. Conservation Accreditation in conservation architecture, Practitioner level A.

Building conservation experience started with a live student project, the restoration of a Tower House in 1977 and has continued to the present. Project scale ranges from repairs and extensions to large scale heritage based projects, working with larger firms.Sustainability

1973 work for Low Impact Technology Ltd, Cornwall, designing projects using wind, solar and Hydro Power. 1976 University Thesis design for Habitat competition. Continuous encouragement of clients to increase insulation levels and use their sites effectively.
